Foster Parent (Therapeutic Foster Care)– Farmington, NM

Contract Positions – Get compensated to ensure children have a home they deserve so they can begin to heal from the trauma they experience. Foster parents receive extensive training in different methods of child-care. Childhaven is committed to giving credible helpful tools and resources to support the foster children in your home. Requirements are to pass a comprehensive background check and home study.

Interns – Farmington, NM

Childhaven offers internships from high school to Masters and Bachelors level. Please contact the Human Resources Manager at (505) 325-5358 ext. 203 for more information. All interns need to fill out our volunteer application and will need three references.

Database and Case Manager (Shelter) – Farmington, NM

The Database and Case Manager will be responsible for overseeing the management of case data for children in the shelter, ensuring accurate data entry, analysis, and reporting. This role combines technical database management skills with compassionate case management, directly supporting the welfare of children in the shelter.

Family Advocate (Children’s Advocacy Center) – Farmington, NM

The purpose of a Family Advocate is responsible to provide advocacy services to child victims and their families who have received Forensic Interviewing services through the Childhaven CAC. The FA will serve as a resource for the child victim and their supportive caregivers throughout the investigative and recovery processes, providing both emotional support and linkage to other service agencies.

Forensic Interviewer (Children’s Advocacy Center) – Farmington, NM

The purpose of a CAC Forensic Interviewer is to work alongside other service professionals to jointly investigate cases of child abuse/neglect. The FI performs legally sound and developmentally appropriate forensic interviews of child abuse victims or witnesses of a crime in a child-friendly setting.

  • Full-time position

NM Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMSW, LPCC, LPC, LISW, LMFT, LMAT, LMHC) – Farmington, NM or Gallup, NM

Provides individual, group, and family therapy to improve mental health through discussion of emotions of experiences. Develop therapeutic treatment plan and refer clients to other resources and services. Maintain timely and accurate records of counseling/ therapy sessions, Service Assessments, Treatment Plans, and Discharge Summaries.

  • Full-time/part-time hourly staff position or contract position open.

Youth Advocate (Shelter) – Farmington, NM

To promote the health, safety and welfare of children and adolescents in the child welfare system. Responsible for the overall care and safety of residents. Assure that clients’ physical, medical, behavioral health and scholastic needs are addressed. Assure program’s compliance with states regulations and program goals.
