Forensic Interview Program
Established in 1995, this program provides a multidisciplinary approach to the investigation of sexually abused and severely physically abused children. The purpose of this service is to improve the coordination of the various agencies involved in the investigation of child sexual abuse. The interview is taped to minimize multiple interviews thus decreasing the traumatic effect on the child. Advocacy services are available for the child and non-offending family members. The advocate assures that the medical, mental health and victim support aspects of each case are addressed.
The Child Advocacy Center provides a comprehensive, culturally competent, multidisciplinary team approach to allegations of child abuse in a dedicated and child-friendly setting. Accredited by the National Children's Alliance (NCA) in 1999, the Safehouse follows the industry’s "Best Practice" standards.
